Library section 13 – Jubilee books Golfclubs

For Auld Lang Syne

Under this last section we will of course find a book about the first golf club in golf history The Royal & Ancient Golfclub at St.Andrews.

But also in the Netherlands golf clubs were founded a long time ago. The oldest is De Haagsche, which saw the light of day in 1893.

It is still a dream of this librarian that somewhere on Golf Course Bleijenbeek a pit called ‘Hole of Fame’ will be built, in which every golf club that has reached the age of 50 will be placed a plaque with its logo and founding date.
