The Dutch Golf Museum and Diana Mertens have known each other since 2015.

Through a tip from Do Smit of the Dutch Kolf Association, John Ott learned that she owned a beautiful collection of kolf shoes from the 16th and 17th centuries. After a visit to the former ophthalmologist in Maasdam, Diana Mertens was willing to lend part of the collection for the newly opening golf museum. She was, of course, also present at the official opening of the Dutch Golf Museum in 2016.

Recently, Chairman John Ott visited the now 86-year-old Diana Mertens again and on this occasion received 8 special children’s kolf shoes on loan. A wonderful gesture from a very kind lady.
