Last Monday, board members John Ott and Ferd Vrijmoed paid a visit to the 97-year-old writer and golf historian Albert Bloemendaal. Albert was happy to briefly return to the golf history he had described so often.
We received some valuable books from him and also had a book as a gift for him. Albert was not yet familiar with the hardly liftable book “De Nederlandse Golfgeschiedenis” by Robin Bargmann and Arnout Janmaat, and it turned out to be a hit.
Albert immediately became a friend of the Dutch Golf Museum, but for the time being, he did not dare commit to a period longer than three years.
