Iain Forrester is a golf pro at Golf & Country club Hoenshuis in Voerendaal and a specialist in the field of historical golf materials. He repairs antique golf clubs and prepares them for hickory competitions.

“The oldest clubs you will find in the Netherlands are from after 1890. Clubs from the period 1890 – 1895 are even quite rare, because the game was not yet widely practiced at that time. Antique clubs are less forgiving than those of today. You can’t work with force, the rhythm and the swing are much more important.”

Iain collected material until 1935 and he gave part of his impressive collection on loan to the Dutch Golf Museum. We made a nice hickory corner of it.
