Every club golfer notices that the golf season has started again at their first club competition. As the Dutch Golf Museum, we notice this because the trophies are being collected again to be awarded later. This includes the “KLM Open” trophy and the “Dutch Ladies Open” trophy, loaned by the NGF, the most important golf trophies in men’s and women’s golf in the Netherlands, respectively.
Last week, both trophies were collected by Hilde van Schijndel, who works at TIG Sports & Events. They are also organizing the KLM Open at The International in Amsterdam again this year and wanted to shoot a promo video for the KLM Open, in which the trophy also appears in a few shots. Who the new ambassador holding the KLM Open trophy will be, we cannot say yet. However, we can reveal that it is a well-known Dutch person and a true Amsterdammer, who also plays quite a good game of golf after his professional sports career.
The ‘Dutch Ladies Open’ trophy will be presented to the winner again on Sunday, May 18 at the Goyer Golf & Country Club. Great, the season has started again.
