Now that the KLM Open 2024 has a new winner in Guido Migliozzi, the Dutch Open trophy returns to its familiar place in the Netherlands Golf Museum. None other than the newly appointed General Director of Sport of the NGF, Jan van Merwijk, placed the trophy back in the display case next to its two predecessors, the Burrows Trophy and the Boomer Trophy.
With a lot of management experience gained as General Director at Stadion Feijenoord N.V., but still relatively unknown in the golf world, Jan was happy to accept the invitation from the Dutch Golf Museum to get acquainted. It turned out to be a relaxed morning with plenty of information, of course a tour of the golf museum, and to finish, the “Greetings from the kitchen” from restaurant Paviljoen Bleijenbeek.
We greatly appreciated the visit and interest of Jan van Merwijk in the golf museum, and we wish Jan much success at the Dutch Golf Federation.
