Apherdianus Tyrocinium (1552)

In the series Old Dutch dictionaries an explanatory booklet has been published that is entirely dedicated to the Tyrocinium of Petrus Apherdianus. A publication of stichting Instituut voor Nederlandse Lexicologie (Series II: 16th century, part 4). The reprint of 1976 was purchased by the museum last year (2018) and is located here brotherly next to the Tyrocinium.

A third book in this display case is about the aforementioned Schenck van Nydeggen, a knight who fought for who suited him best, or who paid him the most. Telling about him means an extra hour. We don’t do that now, but a tour of the castle ruins can satisfy your curiosity somewhat.
